Summary:
Serves Internet Evangelism effort (Spanish and/or English language) by providing task level support to the volunteer application, training, and monitoring processes, and assisting with e-mail responses from Pazcondios.net
Description:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assists with Spanish Ministry volunteer application process as directed by Spanish Ministry Coordinator or the Bilingual Volunteer Coordinator
- Conducts mock chat training with volunteer applicants
- Conducts KnowJesus course training with volunteer applicants
- Responds to volunteer applicant questions via e-mail and telephone
- Conducts application reviews, interviews, and reference calls, and performs other tasks necessary to the application process
- Updates volunteer database
- Assists with volunteer demographic and statistical research
- Assists with reviewing chat conversations and KnowJesus discipleship conversations when needed
- Assists with processing and training of Search for Jesus church partners as requested by Church Referral Coordinator
- Assists with sorting of and responses to e-mail messages submitted through Pazcondios.net
Marginal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assists in scheduling of volunteer training
- Assists with maintenance of Internet Evangelism church database
- Fulfills other duties assigned by Discipleship Manager or Volunteer Coordinator
Reporting Relationships:
- Reports to Spanish Ministry Coordinator
- Receives direction from Volunteer Coordinator or Spanish Ministry Coordinator for various daily tasks
- Coordinates with other Billy Graham Evangelistic Association (BGEA) areas, as needed
Job Specifications:
Skills and Knowledge:
- Minimum of high school diploma, with preference for Associate-level degree or equivalent
- Ability to read, write, and speak Spanish required
- Proficiency with computer and MS Office applications
- Knowledge of and experience with volunteer management/operations desired, preferably within a Christian ministry environment
- Excellent communications skills
- Ability to write clearly and concisely
- Ability to work with initiative and with minimal supervision
- Ability to be flexible with shifting priorities
- Ability to function as a team player
- Ability to concentrate on details, and to demonstrate thoroughness and accuracy
- Ability to maintain absolute confidentiality related to volunteer application and management process

Working Conditions:
- Work is typically performed in a conventional office environment
- Associate positions typically involve work of up to nineteen (19) hours weekly, not to exceed 1,000 hours annually.
