My Hope World Evangelism Through Television—a project where Christians invite their friends into their homes to watch evangelistic TV broadcasts—is the most effective method of evangelism that BGEA has ever executed.
But the crowning moment of My Hope is not a sermon; it is the personal testimony of the home hosts. Individual Christians share their personal faith stories after the broadcast and then invite their guests to receive Jesus Christ as Savior.
In a home in south India, 22 people surrendered their lives to Christ after hearing the testimony of the host couple. More than 9.4 million people worldwide have come to faith this way in the past six years, in the homes of 3.3 million Christians who have shared the difference that Christ has made in their lives.
Your faith story might be just the story that someone needs to hear, and the perfect setting for sharing your story might be as simple as your living room.

Read Matthew 9:9-12. This is the story of how Jesus asked Matthew, a tax collector, to follow Him, and Matthew obeyed. He left everything he had to follow Jesus.
Later that night, Jesus had dinner at Matthew’s house, and crowds of tax collectors and so-called “sinners” ate with them. They were Matthew’s friends.
Matthew found Jesus, and he brought his friends to Jesus, no matter their state.
Some religious and pious onlookers couldn’t believe that Jesus would dine with such corrupt company, but Jesus corrected them, saying, “It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. But go and learn what this means: ‘I desire mercy, not sacrifice.’ For I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners.”
Matthew’s outreach is simple. He found Jesus, and he invited his friends over to meet Jesus too. They shared a meal; they saw grace in action.
It’s important to make friends with non-Christians because then you find yourself in the perfect position to invite them over for dinner and tell them about Jesus Christ. Use the printable training piece at the top of the page to articulate your faith story and memorize it.
