We can change the course of events if we go to our knees in believing prayer.
—Billy Graham

“I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone. ... This is good, and pleases God our Savior, who wants all men to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth. (1 Timothy 2:1-4, NIV)

Evangelistic Prayer

Churches around the world bring countless nonbelievers to saving faith in Jesus Christ just by praying for them. If you start praying today for that person in your life who needs Christ, prepare to be amazed at what God does!

Photo: LonelinessAsk friends, co-workers and family members if you can pray for them. Pray for them in the moment, or ask them if you can place their names on your prayer list.

Jeff Coughlan, from New York, tells others about his prayer list.

“I tell them they’re on my list,” Coughlan says, “and that being on my list means that I really care for them, that God really cares for them and that I’m committing to pray for them every day for the rest of my life or their life. I tell them they should let me know if they’ve accepted Christ so I can change my prayer.”

If people know you are praying for their salvation, Coghlan says, it might soften their hearts a little.

Several people have asked to be placed on Coghlan’s prayer list.

Start today by making a list of all the people in your life who need to know Jesus Christ. Commit to pray for them daily, and watch God work!

Reflect on some promises in the Bible about prayer:
Matthew 21:22 »
Matthew 18:19 »

Pray fervent prayers of faith, and thank God for the answer in advance.

Be persistent like the woman in Luke 18:1–5 »
