God Helps Single Mom and Son »
Rapid Response Team Chaplains serving in the flooded Midwest prayed with a single mom who has 3 children. She was saved at 7 years of age but had left the church. The woman rededicated her life and asked chaplains to pray that she would find a place to live because her mobile home had been destroyed in the flood.
She called back that afternoon and said she had found a house and that she had purchased it. Previously, she had only been a renter, but her loan was approved and the bank gave her the keys and told her she could move right in.
The chaplains invited the mother and her family to share their story with Samaritan's Purse workers. She brought her 13-year old son who was very rebellious. He sat with 3 young men who were volunteering. They invited him to hang out and they skated with him.
The young men, just out of high school, bought the son a skateboard and led him to Christ. The same young men helped the family finish moving into their new home.
